Autumnal hues

Well it’s been 4 weeks since we’ve gone live and we’re pleased with all the positive responses everyone’s given us. Thank you to all who have checked us out and especially to those who have booked a lovely country holiday. The learning curve is fairly sharp and we’re getting on top of it. It has highlighted some areas we need to address which we are getting our heads around solutions. Generally speaking; putting Bush Haven Cottages online has been a pleasant experience.
One family who stayed in Rose cottage left us with a little surprise which amused us no end. It’s nice to have a bit of interaction.

We assure all readers that to the best of our knowledge no bears were harmed in the making of this scene. Thanks to Janet and family.
The extensive gardens are changing again. Being autumn our Bald Cyprus and Erica are looking very nice. The lawns take on a lovely hue at this time of year. it adds to the vision a certain glow. The Gladdies are out aswell as the Nerines. Just gorgeous!

I thought I would dig up an old pic or two from the past (2010). While working in the shed one day I looked down and saw a tiny little girl who I later named Maj. She was a ring tailed Possum. We had to feed her by a tit-pipette and believe it or not these little darlings; being pouch dwellers cannot toilet themselves and must have there genitals tickled to toilet. She went everywhere with me for about 2 weeks. Sadly she died. She was very cute and loved to climb in hair. I enjoyed being a part of her life even though it was for just a short while. That's all for now. I trust you enjoyed this riveting news letter and I bid you all: farewell and God bless.

Greetings to all visitors. We hope you enjoy the new website for Bush Haven Cottages. It's been a long time coming but we're finally here with our own site. Have a look around and see the photo's of Bear cottage and Rose cottage. We hope you take the time to leave a comment.
We get a few visitors and yesterday this pair of Tawny frogmouths roosted on our veranda truss. There used to be a pair (about 2006) who took up residence for about 12 months and raise a pair of young there. Amazin Birds. Use the link and check them out.

This handsome fellow came to visit a couple weeks ago. Nonchalantly walking across the lawn while I was mowing. Completely unfazed by the mower. He would probably be one of the Koala's from Kangaroo island which were steralized and released up the road in Telford scrub conservation park. It seems they travel large distances. We are about 4.5kms from Telford scrub. I do love visitors.
